GENDER ROLES IN CYBERSPACE

The gender roles within the family are tightly defined when it comes Internet users.  It has been proven that men use the Internet more than women and their behavior when navigating and utilizing the World Wide Web is also contrary from women’s behavior.  It is my belief that these differences stem from basic differences in communication that occur between the genders in society.

The attitude that men and women display on the web credits the idea of an online “language” that is gender specific.

What are the Language Differences of Men and Women?

With so many similarities between gender-specific communications online and off it is hard to see the Internet as a miraculous locality for equality among the sexes.
